Panty Liners Are Your Vagina’s BFF: Fact or False?

Panty Liners Are Your Vagina’s BFF: Fact or False?

14-Jul-21

It is not easy to be a woman! We have periods, gynae visits, mood swings, and so much more to deal with. And this is especially complicated because every woman's body functions differently. Some sweat a lot down there, some have frequent vaginal discharge and others are tired of spotting that occurs before the actual start of their period. These are just *some* circumstances where panty liners play a lifesaving role.

Think of it like this- every big sister needs a small sister to rely on. Similarly, sanitary pads, tampons or menstrual cups need support too. Panty liners are a boon to women in all walks of their lives. They are designed to be invisible and collect all sorts of vaginal discharge/ light menstrual flow. Not only this, they are thinner, smaller and super-absorbent which keeps your intimate area fresh.

Many women prefer wearing a panty liner while working out to absorb excess sweat or when they go to the office to keep that icky feeling of sweat and discharge away! These especially come in-handy if your periods are irregular. Washing stained panties is a hassle we all love avoiding, so using a panty liner goes without saying!

So, do *YOU* need a Aloe vera panty liner?

It's a choice. However, we recommend that you keep it in your tote, backpack, sling, or simply keep it handy for use. After all, being prepared for hygiene mishaps has never hurt anyone! In fact, It’s Monica Geller approved. But if you want a list of advantages to convince you, here it goes:

1. Maintaining vaginal health: Our vaginas are constantly on auto-clean mode, and while vaginal discharge is completely natural, the wet and icky feeling it leaves behind is not. If you’re going out, you definitely don’t want to be worried about what’s happening down there because your discharge can fluctuate around the day!

2. Preventing stained undies: Remember how difficult it is to be a woman? It also includes some kooky options! A little self-care never hurt anyone, so while we enjoy the comfort of granny panties, we also enjoy our lace lingerie and satin bodysuits. Unfortunately, your periods are unconcerned. Spotting can happen at any time of day or night, before or after your cycle, so a panty liner is the barrier you need to keep them clean.

3. Special occasions: Going for a date? Or gym? Or a movie? Sweat, discharge, spotting, it’s the terrible 3 that can ruin your mood. So, the only obvious problem solver?

Is there more?

DUH!

Remember that it is perfectly fine to wear a panty liner every day or on certain days for sanitary reasons. It's entirely up to you. However, they must be changed every 3-4 hours, and panty liners that are not made of natural fibres and contain chemicals, or other synthetics should be avoided. It's 2021; if you wouldn't put anything over-processed in your body, don't put it on your skin either.
