What Is a Period Panty?

A period panty, also called period underwear, is absorbent underwear worn during your period instead of or alongside a pad, tampon or cup. How to Wear, Change and Dispose of a Period Panty

Disposable

1. Check your size against the guide above — waist and hips, not dress size.

2. Take the panty out of the pack and step into it like regular underwear. You do not need underwear or a pad under it.

3. Pull it up snug so the absorbent layer sits flat against you and the leg elastics are not twisted.

4. Change every 4-6 hours on heavy days, or wear it overnight for up to 12 hours.

5. To remove, pull it down [or tear the side seams, if applicable], roll it inwards, wrap it in its pouch or an oxo-biodegradable disposal bag and put it in the bin. Never flush it.

Reusable

• Rinse in cold water as soon as you take it off.

• Wash with a mild detergent, by hand or on a gentle cycle.

• No bleach, no fabric softener and no hot water — they damage the leak-proof layer.

• Dry fully in the shade before you wear it again.
